RATH AVIATION AWARDS CONTRACT
Henry Hewitt owner of Hewitt Aviation renewed long term business links with Rath Aviation and secured a contract to paint the exterior and refurbish the interior of a Cessna Citation 501 aircraft. The exterior of the aircraft was repainted in a Jet Glo polyurethane finish to a very high standard, base colour light grey with three trim line colours Burgundy, Silver and light Red. The interior was completely refurbished using light grey leathers for seating and lower sidewall trims. The headliner and window panels were recovered in a light grey Alcantara suede material with a dark grey carpet.
Whilst the aircraft was undergoing the paint and refurb the Engines were removed and sent for overhaul to Sweden, also a complete set of Anti-ice boots were fitted whilst the other work was in progress. Rath Aviation also took advantage of the downtime to carry out minor avionics work. All this work was carried out on-site minimising the downtime.
The Aircraft was completed in a total downtime of 7.5 weeks.
